Cinq choses à savoir

  1. 1As a student, Emma had the opportunity to participate in summer intensives in Miami, Boston and Hamburg. Through these experiences, her perspectives on dance training, style and ballet culture were enriched.
  2. 2She originated the lead role in Jera Wolfe’s Arise, performed as part of Canada’s National Ballet School’s Spring Showcase in 2019. This experience further fuelled her passion for contemporary work and the creative process.
  3. 3In the fall of 2021, Emma performed for the first time with the National Ballet in Balanchine’s Serenade. She grew up inspired by watching the company perform and her first performance on the Four Seasons Centre stage was a moment she will never forget.
  5. 4As an Apprentice, she had the opportunity to perform in an original piece, Rêverie, choreographed by former Principal Dancer Brendan Saye, as part of the YOU dance livestream viewed by thousands of students across Canada.
  7. 5Emma’s favourite thing outside of ballet is spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys skiing, baking, jewelry making and searching on Pinterest for fun DIY projects.
